Sometimes when the seed of love is planted, it remains quiet and untouched for what can seem like forever. You put in everything you think it needs to grow into something amazing and frustration sets in. Then one day it finally blossoms and you realize it was finally given the one thing you couldn’t give it yourself. 

Time.

I taught myself to always see the signs of falling in love. The special feeling. The way my heart sped up. All the emotions I had felt before.

I taught myself something new today.

That love can never be felt the way it once was. I didn’t know love until I found it for the first time and reminders of what love once felt like have no bearing in the love i’ll feel in the future.

I only need to keep my heart open, feet steady, and my mind open to the unknown because I have more to discover that can’t be found from retracing my steps.

I’ve always been haunted by the memories of us.  One of the hardest things for me was watching you walk away.

They may be able to never hurt you like I did, but they will never love you like I still do.

If anything, I promise you that.

I thought for so long I was untouchable.

I fell in love with you with no safety belt. I dived into loving you and promised to never look back. The day I realized that we couldn’t keep it together was the day I learned I wasn’t untouchable.

As much as it hurt to hit the ground, our love gave me the power to get up. The feeling you gave me of finally feeling human made me stronger than untouchable.

You may have left, but being able to finally feel my heart in my chest won’t.

There’s always a point in a relationship where you hit an incredible high. That second of time where you close your eyes and can’t believe you’re experiencing it. You get lost in the moment feeling like it can get no better than what it is that second.

Moments like these shouldn’t be held onto for the way you felt. They should be grabbed onto to pull your heart up to something you’ve never even felt before.

The key is not to be content with the top of the mountain, but to reach to the sky when you hit it.

I’ve given every ounce of my being to make this work. I barely remember who I was before I worked to figure you into my life.

As I finally look into the mirror to see who I really am, I see someone that could never be with you.

It’s not that I want to get rid of you, but more that I want to rescue myself.

Some of the greatest loves we can experience can be completely one sided.

We let our minds travel into something that crosses the lines of fantasy into what we’re waiting to finally experience with that person. From what could be interpreted as a stare to a normal person is just us fighting off the weight of being completely in love with what our eyes are seeing.

As every day passes, we further feel the weight of the crush, patiently dreaming of the day when the weight is gone and we’re finally swept off our feet.

The only reason I don’t let you go is because you said you would always be there. No matter how many days pass, I wait for you to come right back through that door.

If you never meant it, you shouldn’t have said it.

You may no longer always be here but your words will never leave me.

Every morning I wake up, I look into your eyes. No matter how long I look I don’t see somebody I love.

I keep looking every morning hoping I will.

It took me seeing a picture of us to finally realize that we’re not together anymore.

I don’t remember how long it’s been since we broke up, but I remember how much I need you.

I remember everything about the magical day I first laid eyes on you.

I wish it never happened.

As people, we all take the time to figure out what our hearts need.

Sometimes with a little temptation and desire for the unknown, having something we don’t need can become more appealing.
